Subject	How do I manually raise a convertible top?

Message	A few months back I picked up a project '93 convertible. At the time, the seller was raising and lowering the top manually as the car has no power (engine bay is stripped currently). When I brought the car home, I lowered the top in the garage where it has sat for about 8 months. It is now finally time to take it to paint and I can't figure out how to release the "lid" over the stored top. Any help would be appreciated!
